Taron Berry Wins Inspired People Music Songwriting Contest

(Chicago, IL) – April 30, 2013 – Inspired People Music, home of GRAMMY Award winning songwriter Pastor Charles Jenkins, searched nationwide to find an amazing praise and worship songwriter to bless through its Inspired People Music Songwriting Contest.  With over 1,000 submissions and a chance to win a publishing deal and song placement on the next project of Charles Jenkins & Fellowship Chicago, the competition was stiff.  Taron Berry, from Winter Garden, FL emerged as the winner of the contest for his song, “You Deserve All Praise.”

Berry, a minister, producer and head of Berry Tight Music, wins a publishing deal with Inspired People Music, placement on Charles Jenkins & Fellowship Chicago’s sophomore release, a $1,000 cash advance, a Mac computer, and a gift certificate to a renowned clothing store.  Berry was thrilled at the win.  “I feel so honored and blessed to have this opportunity,” shares Berry. “God truly deserves all praise.  As great as I feel winning this contest, it’s truly God who deserves the glory, honor and all our worship.  I pray the song blesses the body of Christ.”

Carlton Jenkins, Senior VP of Inspired People, is thrilled at the response the contest received.  “The Inspired People Music Team wants to thank everyone who submitted songs to The Inspired People Music Songwriting Contest,” he says.  “Every song got a listen and we heard so much talent, art, and passion. What a grueling process reviewing over 1,000 songs with the challenge of choosing one winner.  I believe every person who submitted a song is a winner.”

Those who submitted songs should know that it’s not over yet.  Because of the overwhelming turnout of writers with such great potential, we are launching a publishing company to help writers with song placement, administration, and support. Additionally, songwriters should log on to www.inspiredpeoplemusic.net this week because the label will be listing “10 Great Songwriters You Should Know.”  Other exciting opportunities are around the corner as Carlton Jenkins states, “This contest is not the end, but a new beginning! Remember Inspired People, Inspire People!”
