uGospel Radio and Look Up Radio Partner

Internet radio stations continue to be birthed, grow, and thrive, especially those focused on gospel and inspirational music.  How many of you now tune into gospel music via your smartphone?   I know I do.

TBGB received this notice today:

Stellar Radio Award-nominee and Rhythm of Gospel Award-winner, uGospel Radio, announces its upcoming partnership with Philadelphia based Christian internet radio station, Look Up Radio

The two award winning internet radio stations are joining forces to provide the Faith-Based community with an unparalleled listening experience, featuring a wider range of music and inspirational programming than before. uGospel Radio and Look Up Radio are scheduled to be fully integrated on June 23, 2014.

“Everyone at uGospel Radio is thrilled about our new partnership with Look Up Radio. We are always looking for new and innovative ways to expand and reach more audiences with the Kingdom’s music. I look forward to all of the great things that we will accomplish together, which I can guarantee will be nothing less than stellar,” states Khalif M. Townes, President/CEO of Urban Roundup Group, LLC. (uGospel Radio).

As a result of the new partnership, uGospel Radio’s streaming services will be powered and managed by Look Up Radio, LLC.  The current programs on uGospel Radio, such as “Billboard’s Top 20 Countdown with Y’Anna Crawley”“Torrence Glenn’s Barks, Squalls and Altar Calls” and “Real Talk with Da Gospel Truth” will air alongside the programs Look Up Radio currently broadcasts.  In line with the generational shift and expansion of Gospel/Christian music genres, the Look Up Radio powered stream will feature music from the Gospel, CCM, Urban Contemporary and Christian Indie styles.

“Look Up Radio provides a diverse listening experience that spans background and musical taste.  With this new generation of recording artists and the incorporation of different styles like CCM, Hip-Hop, R&B, Praise & Worship and countless others into Gospel music, this partnership with uGopsel is a natural transition into where our industry is heading next. We’re pretty excited about that because together, we are providing what people are longing for from radio – great Christian music and quality Christian programming,” says Gene Burke, CEO of Look Up Radio, LLC.

Following uGospel Radio Powered by Look Up Radio’s launch date, June 23, 2014, listeners can visit or download the uGospel Radio app for Apple, Android and Blackberry devices to hear the new and improved broadcasts.
