RIP: Morris Chapman, gospel and CCM singer-songwriter

By Bob Marovich The Journal of Gospel Music has learned that gospel and CCM singer-songwriter and worship leader Morris Chapman passed away on May 2, 2020, at age 82. Born February 26, 1938, in Camden, Arkansas, Chapman moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in 1957 and married in 1959. He didn’t start his music ministry until the 1970s, at age 40, while working as a janitor for the Clark County School District in Las Vegas.
