Lady Redneck (aka country singer Stephanie Lee) renders the eighteenth-century hymn, “Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing,” with lockstep fidelity to the original and a delicacy ideally suited to the lovely melody. Lee’s tender vocal, accompanied by piano, is like a votive candle lit in a dimmed chapel.

I love the song and the arrangement, not so crazy about the artist’s stage name in the context of hymnody. It might be better if she used her given name for Christian releases. Nevertheless, this is a very beautiful version of the hymn.

Now living in Dallas, Texas, Lady Redneck is originally from Idaho.
