“Happy Mother’s Day” is an acoustic gospel ballad about a mother gone home.  Lead singer Prez Blackmon vocalizes about how much he misses his mother, his “closest friend,” especially on the holidays.  He’s comforted by the fact that they will meet again, and admonishes listeners to respect their mothers while they are yet on this earth.  Sage advice.
