“Yet Love”
Luther Barnes and the Sunset Jubilaires
AIR Gospel 2011

Luther Barnes, sporting the best groomed beard in gospel music, puts forth his softer, gentler side on “Yet Love,” a ballad about the importance of loving one’s enemies (Luke 6:27-28).

Barnes even playfully coins a new noun, ‘yet love.’ It describes in its simplicity the love to use with those who deceive and hurt you, as in “yet love them,” when “you’ve been broken and sometimes hung out to dry.”

Move past the bitterness, Barnes sings, and “Let’s pray that God will give us some ‘yet love’,” as the Sunset Jubilaires harmonize deeply and warmly in support.

This song makes me cry each time I hear it. I can relate to the message as will many others. It will no doubt make the world a better place.

When I first heard this song, I was going through an emotional time. As soon as Luther barnes sang the chorus of the song, I was elated, my heart just burst open. I knew about forgiveness, but to “Yet Love”!!

When I first heard the song, it was near the end but it was my breakthrough. I asked the cashier who sung it and she did not know. Finally heard the whole song today and the artist. Anyone who has been divorced, broken hearted or mistreated should hear this song. only wish I had heard it sooner.

Heard this song and was joyfully overwhelmed with resolve to continue to “love” in spite of. This song epitomizes the “agape” kind of love that “suffers long and is patient and kind”; the kind of love that Jesus has for us, the kind of love that “endureth all things”….

The Lord uses this talented man of God to speak to me today….This song is about everything and I mean EVERYTHING that I have come out of in the past 5 yrs. I Love it when my Daddy(Heavenly Father)speaks to me in an audible voice…This day He just chose to use this mighty man of God….Oh how I love My Lord God with my all and my everything…He truly is the lover of my soul…Though they persecute me yet will I love them….I must give all the Honor Glory and Praise to my Father for giving me the strength to overcome, forgive, and most of all to feel love again… Well I’m gonna soon be preachin if I dont stop then everyone on here gonna see my inner black woman come out…then we will be havin church up on this here blog….so in closing I just surrender ALL to my Daddy and say “YES LORD, I SHALL ‘YET LOVE'” I pray Gods Blessing over everyone on this blog and may His favor fall upon you at ALL times for we are a child of the ‘MOST HIGH KING’ making us Royalty…..Be Blessed….AMEN

I really enjoyed this song for real. It’s what GOD is telling us over and over in his word that no matter how we are treated we still got to love no matter what. Love is what Jesus was taught the disciples and he wants us to get that lesson so when I hear “yet love” it drives it home to me even the more. Thank you Pastor Barnes and please continue to give us great music.
