David Spencer
From the CD Focused (2012)
The “musical melting pot” David Spencer encountered while studying music at North Carolina Central University is evident on “Use Me. ”
His song about wholehearted discipleship—“You’re the potter, I’m the clay” / “Whatever you say, I’ll obey”—has a indie pop sensibility, complete with friendly acoustic guitars and a patina of easy-going electronica. Pleasant.
Born in Lumberton , North Carolina , Spencer formed David Spencer & Dynamic Productions in 2003. Focused is his solo debut, though he gets assistance on “Use Me” from Tiffany Spencer.
