Join Northwestern’s Religious and Spiritual Life as they honor Professor L. Stanley Davis on Sunday, February 18th at 3:00pm CST at Alice Millar Chapel (1870 Sheridan Road, Evanston, IL).

The late L. Stanley Davis, a Chicago gospel music icon, was an alumnus of Northwestern University (WCAS ’74, Comm ’97) and co-founded the Northwestern Community Ensemble (NCE), the premiere and only gospel choir on campus.

“O, For a Thousand Tongues to Sing: A Musical Tribute to L. Stanley Davis” will also be a musical experience that honors the Black Gospel music tradition. The service will feature performances by the Northwestern Community Ensemble, Alice Millar Chapel Choir, The Chicago Metro Chapter of The Gospel Music Workshop of America, and a community mass choir. Immediately following the program, Northwestern University invites you to stay for a reception.
