Greenville, South Carolina, singer-songwriter Jayden Williams offers a bubbly ode of gratitude to Jesus on “Thank You, Lord.”

He references his salvation moment at age 12 to put an even finer point on his feelings of gratefulness. For the vamp, Williams, whose voice is youthful and pleasant, if not explosive, makes that gospel shift—you know it when you hear it—and delivers enough blues notes and ornamentation to arouse the audience.
