“The Savior Has Come”
Bryan Andrew Wilson & the Rebirth Brass Band
Bryan’s Songs/CE Music (release date: November 29, 2024)

By Robert M. Marovich

To update his 2007 Christmas song “The Savior Has Come” with appropriate punch, gospel singer Bryan Andrew Wilson turned to New Orleans’s GRAMMY Award-winning Rebirth Brass Band. Blasts of brass and a celebratory Pentecostal beat support Wilson and his crew in heralding the coming of the Christ Child.

The single comes from Wilson’s first-ever Christmas album, Jingle Jams, which places new compositions like “The Best Gift” and “Christmas Everyday” alongside high-octane versions of traditional favorites “A Wonderful Child” (aka “Glory, Glory to the Newborn King”) and “He Brought Joy” (aka “I Can Tell the World”).
