“I Believe”
Kvng David
Independent (release date: May 4, 2026)
By Robert M. Marovich
Kvng David (aka Alexander David), a Nigerian-born gospel singer and session drummer based in Chester, UK, follows his recent single, “Kings and Priests,” with a melodic worship song based on 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 called “I Believe.”
David’s singing is steady and measured as befits the biblical message, and the background vocalists and band follow his lead with graceful musicianship. While the arrangement could use a bridge section, a key change, or both, for greater variety, the easy-to-learn melody and the way the song seems to float on air promise to make it a favorite among worship teams. It’s also far more mainstream in feel than the sonically complex “Kings and Priests.”
