I am doing a story about Paul “Easy” Arnold for WYSO. I’d like to know your background in Gospel and about Arnold’s contributions. Did you know him personally?

Hi, I am a gospel music historian, gospel radio announcer (since 2001), and have hosted “Journal of Gospel Music” (formerly “The Black Gospel Blog”) since 2004. My book on Chicago gospel music comes out in March from the University of Illinois Press. I’ve presented on gospel music four times at academic conferences. I’d be happy to contribute to your story.

I never knew Paul personally but I am very familiar with his music and legacy.

It’s been a while, but I have finally cleared the deck to work on the Arnold story. I would be grateful to hear from you about Arnold’s music and legacy. Where are you located?
