“Genesis”From the CD Live in Stockton – He Shall
To a playful marching rhythm, the Christian Life Center Mass Choir of Stockton, California echoes the narrator’s declarations from the Book of Genesis in a variety of musical mannerisms, from melodramatic cascading vocal lines to typewriter-like staccato to an exposition of choral gymnastics.
It’s the type of performance that never fails to delight church audiences and, as such, I suspect the live performance was even better than the recording.
