From the RTG Records CD Victory
TBGB must be in a quartet state of mind this week, because here’s another.
Jay Caldwell and The Gospel Ambassadors’ “Handwriting on the Wall” likens President Barack Obama to a modern-day Daniel who can read the handwriting and “get us out of the mess we’ve gotten ourselves into.”
The “mess,” declares the quartet with head-shaking frustration, includes job loss, high prices, healthcare woes, and sending “men and women to fight in Iraq for no reason at all.” “Go get Obama,” somebody said, and it was done. Seems a fitting sentiment to share today, on President Obama’s birthday.
In addition to appearing on the quartet’s new CD, Victory, “Handwriting on the Wall” is included on Volume 14 of the Gospel USA CD sampler, produced by the magazine’s publisher, Cecil L. Brown.
