Sisters, sopranos, and longtime members of Donald Lawrence & Company, Tobbi & Tommi just released their debut single, “Light,” written and produced by Brandon Avery Smith.
This rhythmic, extroverted praise song features harmonic as well as antiphonal singing by the sisters, whom Lawrence has called “two of the best sopranos on the planet.”
Tobbi & Tommi will spend August through October on a national tour, including participation in Karen Clark Sheard’s live recording in Chicago on September 9. Their own full-length album is due out in 2014.
