On the behalf of the Summerville family I have been asked to inform you of the passing of Mother Ruby Lee Summerville-Dickson. Mother Ruby as we all affectionately referred to her passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, November 21, 2005. She was 65.
Mother Ruby was a member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America and will be greatly missed.

Mother Ruby is survived by her three children Rodney D. Summerville, Felicia L. Summerville-Wilcox, Steven U. Summerville and four grandchildren.
TBGB Note: This past weekend Mother Ruby hosted St. Louis’ annual quartet convention. We who have had the chance to work with, or simply meet, Mother Ruby are deeply saddened by the news but are grateful that she passed peacefully and is on her way to be with the Lord.
