It’s been a while since we’ve posted anything on the Soul Messengerz, but “New Jerusalem” gives us that opportunity, even if the song was first introduced by the men about two years ago.
The group grooves to a solid drive tempo backbeat as they sing about wanting to be ready for the great day in the morning. They quote from the spiritual “Walk in Jerusalem” (Revelation 21) as they sing about walking “in Jerusalem just like John” before turning to a fiery coda. The only thing missing here is the sound of an appreciative audience.
