Seems like the weekend of the 27th Annual Stellar Gospel Music Awards in Nashville was one of the busiest in the show’s history. Music showcases, recognition programs and gospel performances were numerous, building up to the Saturday evening taping of the Awards show at the Grand Ole Opry. Here are just a few snippets:

Smokie Norful performs songs from his forthcoming Tenth Anniversary CD, Once in a Lifetime, at an EMI Gospel showcase on Friday, January 13. The CD drops April 3.

The mighty 116 Clique closes out the Radio Station and Gospel Announcers and Reach Award Showcase Saturday afternoon.

Matthew Knowles of Music World Gospel and  one of his new artists, Grammy-nominated Le’Andria Johnson, at a Music World Gospel Listening Party Friday evening.

Central City Productions CEO Don Jackson takes a moment from Stellar Awards show preparation to welcome attendees to the Radio Station and Gospel Announcers and Reach Awards Showcase Saturday afternoon.

TBGB will post additional Stellar news throughout the coming week.
