The New Christianaires
Full Circle Records (2012)
The New Christianaires were formed in 2010 by George Carter, a member of the Stellar Award-winning Christianaires (Paul and Tyrone Porter, Arnold and Ronald Brown).
Signing with Full Circle Records in 2011, the New Christianaires graced 2012 with the traditional-flavored “One of These Mornings.” The quartet stitches together a series of movable couplets about the final walk from labor to reward. The album version is preferable to the radio edit because it extends the vamp, during which the lead singer shouts about his “new walk” that the loping rhythm has converted into a strut. Fiery!
