“Reach Out and Touch Someone”
Rosetta Walker
From the Walker Records Productions EP Love (2012)
Beverly Hills-based inspirational singer-songwriter Rosetta Walker joined forces with Doc Holiday and The Power Plant to reprise Diana Ross’s 1970 debut single, “Reach Out and Touch (Somebody’s Hand).”
As “Reach Out and Touch Someone,” the song is the musical manifestation of Walker’s personal mission to love somebody, no matter what they look like, what they have or don’t have, or what they have gone through.  Her synth-led rendition of the Ross classic is intimately half-spoken and half-sung.  “We need to come together as a people and show love,” she proclaims.  Who can argue with that?
