Jordan was best known for writing “Step To Jesus,” “We Are Climbing,” and the sensational “Jesus Can Work It Out.”

From Detroit, Jordan served in the True Light Baptist Church music department and was a member of Rev. Maceo Woods’ Christian Tabernacle Ensemble that recorded for Vee Jay Records in the 1960s.  He was also part of the Christian Tabernacle Concert Choir and eventually the church’s minister of music.

Please keep Elder Jordan’s family, and the Christian Tabernacle community, in your prayers.
