“Seasons”
Bam Travis
Marvin “Bam Bam” Travis got his nickname from playing the drums, but he delivers a solid vocal performance on “Seasons.”
While this is the first single from Travis’s debut solo album, due out this fall, he is a featured artist on “Go To Church,” from Deitrick Haddon’s A Beautiful Soul soundtrack.
A PK from Detroit—both his parents are also musical—Travis has been singing since the age of two, three years before he hit his first tom.  “Seasons” uses the shifting of the seasons as a metaphor to answer life’s most fundamental questions.  What’s most interesting about this fusion of jazz and R&B, however, is Travis himself.  He sings with the rich depth and robustness of fellow Detroiter Lowell Pye.
