With such a star-studded lineup at the 28th Chicago Gospel Music Festival, the Main Stage at Ellis Park promises to be the most popular place to be this weekend.

After all, how often can you see gospel luminaries such as Smokie Norful, Tamela Mann, John P. Kee, Vickie Winans, Ricky Dillard, Donald Lawrence, and Bishop Hezekiah Walker, among others, in one place and in the space of two days?

In addition, I encourage festivalgoers to explore Gospel Fest beyond the main events, because there are amazing artists performing Friday through Sunday.  I consider the following six performers to be the “hidden treasures” of this year’s festival, not because they are not well known, but because they are well worth your time and attention….
