“Chances”
Isaac Carree
From the Sovereign CD Uncommon Me(2011)
“Chances” is another lovely ballad in a string of lovely ballads from the Men of Standard co-founder.  It’s an expansive, piano-led prayer of apology and request for forgiveness, followed by incredulous wonder that God gives us chances over and over again.  “Where would life be if I ran out of chances?” he sings.
The new single evokes the introspection of Carree’s “Simply Redeemed” and provides him with ample opportunities to explore the upper edges of his vocal range.
