“I’m Free”
Nancey Jackson Johnson
Camdon Music 2013
Many gospel artists have taken their performance to a higher level of gospel-ality by adding the irrepressible energy and traditional chops of Minister Nancey Jackson Johnson.
The singer celebrates her freedom from oppression, depression, affliction, and other “ions” on “I’m Free,” the new single from her forthcoming solo album on Donnie McClurkin’s record label, Camdon.  Jackson Johnson “makes no apologies” about God freeing her, but no apologies are necessary.  If she sang this song in Latin, you’d get the point.
The single is scheduled for release to radio Tuesday, April 8.
