In 1997, Joe Pace and the Colorado Mass Choir earned a Stellar Award for Best New Artist of the Year. Nearly ten years and stacks of award nominations, performances and recordings later, Pace and his gospel music ministry show no signs of slowing down.
His latest single “Mighty Long Way,” riffs on the classic gospel message, “Lord, you brought me from a mighty long way.” The ensemble sings this mantra, building in heart-pounding intensity with each of several key changes while Pace moans, shouts, and screams in soul-stirring testimony to letting go and letting God.
Pace cries out, “I almost lost my mind but I’m still here.” Okay, show of hands: who can relate? Everyone? Thought so.
