You can’t help but smile after hearing a single that exclaims, “No matter what comes my way/I’ll lift my voice and say/Hallelujah Anyhow!” People have filled books with ways to avoid negativity and achieve self-confidence and success, and yet this kernel of wisdom pretty much says it all.

But it’s the hand-clapping and backbeat that really sells the chorus of this song, presented by the 100+ voice women’s choir (called the Women of Witness and Worship) of New Shiloh Baptist Church of Baltimore, MD, led by father/son pastors Dr. Harold A. Carter, Sr. and Dr. Harold A. Carter, Jr. This would be a good recording to release as an extended performance in addition to the radio single for the backbeat chorus alone.
