Hailing from Newark, New Jersey, the the Frierson Brothers family quartet has been recording for more than forty years. The quartet’s latest single, “Born Again,” evokes the Williams Brothers in its joyously funky, meaty, distinctly southern bounce. It is the latest entrant in a long list of “Born Again” songs, each one appropriately upbeat as this particular track.
The Frierson Brothers are active members of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church in Newark, where another recording artist, Rev. Dr. Elton T. Byrd, is pastor and founder.
