“Right There”
Monica Lisa Stevenson
From the forthcoming CD Live in Atlanta (in stores May 14, 2013)
“Right There” is one of those bold gospel ballads that gives a singer something to sink her vocal cords into.  More than up to the task is Monica Lisa Stevenson, who gives the song an appropriately dramatic reading in live performance.
Backed by steady musicianship and an interjecting B3, Stevenson sings about how her Lord is “right there with me” in times of trouble. Changing to the third person, she assures the audience that He will be there for them, also.  Powerful.
