“A Little More Jesus”

Erica Campbell, one-half of the sister duo Mary Mary, has stepped out on her own with a solo single, “A Little More Jesus.”
With a rhythmic swagger not unlike Mary Mary’s “Sunday Morning,” “A Little More Jesus” is a full-speed-ahead neo-traditional piece with a gospel backbeat, call and response, wailing harmonica, and countrified guitar licks for added rootsiness.
Life is busy and complicated and, as everyone knows, that combination can produce stress. “I got mad and I said too much,” Erica sings, “Went too far and I almost cussed.  No my mama didn’t raise me that way/Lord, I need a little help today.”
Erica explains, “I wanted to sing music that I use in my everyday life when I’m cooking, praying, or just driving around in my car.  I believe this song will resonate with all believers.”
