Regina Vandereijk
The Lord Is There (Deluxe Edition)
Royal Increase Music (2024)

By Robert M. Marovich

North Carolina-born and bred Regina Vandereijk, now a resident of the Netherlands, where she lives with her husband Willo, has re-released her recent five-star album, The Lord Is There, as a Deluxe Edition.

The Deluxe Edition contains all ten tracks from the original album as well as the four tracks from Regina’s September 2024 EP, Love Called Her Home (also given five stars by JGM). Listeners now have a chance to hear Regina’s exquisite artistry on Americana-flavored sacred selections as well as CCM-fueled praise songs in one project.

You can read my comments about Love Called Her Home here, and about the original iteration of The Lord Is There here.

Simply put, Regina Vandereijk has the rootsy quality of a North Carolina balladeer, the voice of an opera singer (which she once was), and the heart of a worshiper. I have heard a lot of CCM singers in my many years at the helm of JGM, and Regina is as significant a vocalist as Lauren Daigle and Nichole Nordeman. Cheers to whomever offers her broader exposure.

Five of Five Stars

Picks: “Promise Keeper,” “Oh Jesus,” “Love Called Her Home,” “Wake Up Boy”
