National 501(c)(3) Mobilizes Producers, Artists, Executives, Radio Leaders, Educators, and Entrepreneurs

Atlanta, GA — At a time when the entire music industry is navigating rapid technological shifts, streaming disruption, audience fragmentation, and evolving cultural expectations, the Gospel Industry Coalition (GIC) has emerged as a strategic, unifying force committed to strengthening, protecting, and advancing the entire Gospel music ecosystem.

Established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in May 2024, GIC was created to address one pressing reality: the Gospel music industry can no longer afford to operate in isolated silos. The Coalition exists to convene leaders, provide education, facilitate collaboration, and build a sustainable infrastructure for long-term growth. Its guiding principle—“Together With One Voice”—reflects its mission to align stakeholders across every sector of the industry.

In its first six months, GIC has hosted high-level masterclasses and webinars featuring Grammy Award-winning leaders and respected industry veterans; convened the GIC Honors event, honoring several gospel music industry leaders who have served for decades; convened online efforts to address the “soul” health and physical health of our industry colleagues; and extended a national membership campaign that includes every gospel subgenre and industry sector.

The Coalition is governed by a Board of Directors comprised of respected leaders across media, business, ministry, education, and performance. Board leadership includes Don Jackson (Vice President), Chris Capehart (2nd Vice President), Tara Griggs-Magee (3rd Vice President), Bryant Scott (Treasurer), and Damien Sneed (Secretary). The organization was founded by industry veteran Dr. Teresa Hairston-Jackson, who serves as President. Recently, the Coalition brought on Damon Williams as Executive Director.

The Gospel Industry Coalition is not an honorary affiliation. It is a strategic alliance.

For producers, GIC offers collaboration opportunities, technology education, and access to peer expertise. For artists, it provides exposure pathways, business literacy training, and legacy-building insight. For executives, it creates a forum for unified advocacy and coordinated growth. For radio personalities, it strengthens programming relevance through direct engagement. For educators, it supports curriculum visioning aligned with industry realities. For entrepreneurs, it opens doors to strategic partnerships within a trusted national network.

The Coalition recognizes that Gospel music is more than a genre—it is a cultural and spiritual institution. Protecting its integrity requires collective leadership. Expanding its influence requires coordinated effort. Sustaining its economics requires informed action.

The Gospel Industry Coalition invites producers, artists, executives, radio professionals, educators, entrepreneurs, pastors, musicians, and all who are invested in the advancement of Gospel music to become active participants in shaping its future.
