TBGB is saddened to learn of the passing of Lee Griffin, CEO and Founder of DAP Music in Detroit, Michigan. Married to gospel star LaShell Griffin, Lee was an indefatigable promoter of several gospel artists in addition to LaShell. He died May 30 of an apparent heart attack.
According to Lee’s Facebook page, the viewing will be held Thursday, June 5 at Swanson’s Funeral Home East, 806 East Grand Blvd. in Detroit. Hours are from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
The funeral will take place Friday, June 6 at Faith Covenant Fellowship, 17901 Collinson, Eastpointe, MI (586) 498-9101. The family hour is at 10:00 a.m. and the service is at 11:00 a.m.
Rafiel Griffin says that if you would like to send cards or gifts, forward them to the church as it is equipped to handle all the needs for the family. In the event you would like to send a monetary donation make it out to Faith Covenant Fellowship.
TBGB had the fortune to work with Lee on various occasions. He worked very hard for his artists.
