R.I.P. Edna Tatum

Tammy Taylor of One EnTiTy in Nashville reported that Lady Edna Tatum, “The Voice,” passed away.

Taylor reported that Edna can be heard on Gospel Music Workshop of America recordings, as well as on Kurt Carr projects.  Gregory Gay of GOSPELflava.com noted that she can be heard introducing the choir on the Hawkins Family’s Love Alive V album.

I had the good fortune to talk with Edna on a couple of occasions and was always impressed by her sweet spirit.  She was such a humble soul and many, many people will miss her.
