JGM learned from Darrell Luster of the Malaco Music Group that Mr. Haywood Barnes of the Sunset Jubilaires gospel quartet passed away on August 14, 2023. He was born February 23, 1941.

We are sad to announce that on August 14, 2023, at the age of 82, Haywood Barnes (Rocky Mount, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 19th 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Red Budd Holy Church (637 Cleveland St, Rocky Mount, NC 27803). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 19th 2023 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 19th 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Gethsemane Cemetery (3020 E Raleigh Blvd, Rocky Mount, NC 27801).
JGM extends its condolences to the Barnes Family and to Bro. Haywood’s many other family members, friends, and fans.
