“Blessed”
Aaron Lindsey feat. Fred Hammond
Multi Ethnic Records (release date: January 30, 2023)

By Robert M. Marovich

When at the beginning of “Blessed,” singer-producer Aaron Lindsey calls on Fred Hammond for assistance, there’s no way Hammond would say no.

The new single is a remake of Fred Hammond and Radicals for Christ’s 1995 hit, “We’re Blessed.” It’s also the debut of Multi Ethnic Records in partnership with Integrity Music / Integrated Music Rights, and the launch of Believe LA in Calabasas, California, where Aaron and his wife Adrian are the pastors.

It’s also an opportunity to hear Aaron, known for his songwriting and production, behind the microphone. The single, like the original, is a simple proclamation of praise repeated over and over, with slight variations, but a little quicker and more percussive.
