“Done It For Me”
Josh Copeland
Anointed Sounds Records (release date: August 5, 2022)

By Robert M. Marovich

“Done It For Me” is a quality piece written by Brandon Bufford and sung by Josh Copeland, the BET Sunday Best Season 9 finalist from Maryland whose vigorous vocal is the ideal vehicle for the song’s uplifting sentiment.

Copeland is effusively grateful to God because “you looked beyond my faults and saw my needs,” quoting the Dottie Rambo classic. He sings that he “should have been dead and gone,” but God saw to it that he survived that crisis, also.

While a member of Charles Butler and Trinity, Josh Copeland electrified the gospel world with his 2017 performance of “The Blood,” written by his brother, Mandel Copeland. “Done It For Me” is a song worth covering by other artists.
