“10,000 Reasons”
Faithful Forever
Independent (release year: 2025)
By Robert M. Marovich
UK-based modern worship artist Faithful Forever offers a stunning cover of “10,000 Reasons,” the Matt Redman hit from 2012.
The song draws from the opening lines of Psalm 103 and from the nineteenth-century hymn “Praise My Soul, the King of Heaven,” which likewise takes its inspiration from Psalm 103. Vocally, Faithful Forever sounds for all the world like Ed Sheeran, his voice moving from vulnerability to confidence. It may well surpass Redman’s muscular original because of the sonic shades that build upon one another in their march to the conclusion.
