Luther Barnes is one of the most compelling gospel singers on the highway today, effortlessly bringing the authentic expressions of the church into the modern era.
He’s back at it with a new single called “Lifetime.” With the intensity of a preacher and the sonority of Otis Redding, Barnes declares he’s not going anywhere—he plans to serve God his whole life.
Notwithstanding the release of a radio edit, I suspect gospel announcers will insist on spinning the full cut, because it’s right when Barnes is at his vocal apex that the single fades.
