“Wonder In My Soul” is Pastor Stephen E. Boyd’s musical tribute to his parents Bishop Mary and Deacon Eddie Boyd, as well as to the members of 1st Corinthians Holiness Church and Glorious Mt. Sinai Holiness Churches of America, Inc., under whose collective fellowship he was raised.
Like an old-fashioned devotional, “Wonder” is a simple song that careens along to a Pentecostal backbeat. Boyd pulls on his ministerial chops to encourage a litany of testimonials from the background vocalists, who serve as the choir-congregation. A true hand clapper.
