“Blessings”
Tanya Nolan
Artsessionz (release date: February 7, 2025)

By Robert M. Marovich

Tanya Nolan’s sweet but understated vocals sell “Blessings,” a simple song of gratitude for God’s grace that has rained down upon her. She lofts heartfelt praises from the smooth side of the mountain, as the softly swirling R&B arrangement embraces her lovingly.

It’s the first gospel single and a quite respectable entry into the genre for the Galveston, Texas, native with a voice familiar to R&B and jazz fans. She has charted with singles such as “Good Woman” and “Like Water,” the latter with Grammy nominee Raheem DeVaughn.
