“Come to Me”
Arbour Season
From the All Things New EP (release date: 2022)

By Robert M. Marovich

Husband-and-wife folk duo Arbour Season emits vibes of indie pop groups Tennis and Low on the tender “Come to Me,” based on Matthew 11:28-29. The song’s instrumental simplicity, its laid-back melody, and its delicious harmonies are ideal binders of the meditative message.

“Come to Me” has been around a couple of years but it just hit my desk last month, and yet it sounds as fresh as when it was released in 2022. Though based in Arkansas, Arbour Season performs across the US, traveling the highways and byways in a refurbished school bus.
