“Blessings: is a prayer of parting with an easy Sunday morning feel that evokes the songwriting of Kirk Franklin. Years of honing her vocal craft shine through Adams’ declarative lead, but the chant by the background vocalists—“I’m praying blessings on blessings on blessings on you”—is the hook.
