“Tell of His Goodness”
Jerome L. Ferrell & the Lighthouse Choir feat. Douglas Miller
Diversity Music Group (release date: March 26, 2021)

By Robert M. Marovich

“Tell of His Goodness” was released two years ago, but it has all the ingredients of a gospel choir outing of the 1980s and 1990s.

Recorded live (as every choir recording should be) and featuring throaty vocals by the now late choir maestro Douglas (“Pass Me Not”) Miller, “Tell of His Goodness” is a celebration of Jesus as a friend until the end. Though the production is a bit trebly, the Lighthouse Interdenominational Choir’s thunderous harmonies, the cheery rhythm, and Douglas’s earnest delivery carry the day.
