“Victory”
Kim Mendoza
Independent (release date: December 25, 2025)

By Robert M. Marovich

“Victory” is a real pewburner from Monroe, Louisiana, gospel singer Kimberly Mendoza.

Because the victory is not in the future but here, right now, Mendoza and her background vocalists and musicians deliver a musical hallelujah and glory. While the background vocalists chant “tick tock,” Mendoza declares a variety of personal and social ills over which God has given her and, by extension, the listener, victory.

Kim Mendoza’s track proves that traditional-style sanctified gospel music is still alive and well.
