“Your Love”
Angie Hall feat. Vicki Farrie

Angie Hall and Vicki Farrie celebrate what they dub the “perfect love” on this pop-flavored, tuneful love ballad to the Most High.
Listening to the catchy chorus, the ladies’ warmly passionate vocal delivery, and dog whistle high notes made me realize how much a genuine, no-frills expression of love seems missing from the repertories of today’s female pop hit makers. With rare exceptions (mostly indie artists), it appears excoriating ex-boyfriends, musing on a broken heart, relationship recovery, and demonstrating particularly salient physical attributes are the only ways for some female singers to express affection.
Take note from Angie Hall and her sacred love song: a regular ol’ declaration of undying love that sounds good is possible.
