Every Year Carries a Number: Johnson, Harris, Chiapetta

It seems as if the Christmas season carries more than its share of men and women from work to reward.

I am saddened to report three more passings recently brought to my attention by John Glassburner, Sis. Ducky, and Peggy Chiapetta, respectively:

— James Johnson of the Ramada Singers (September 16, 2013)

— Willie Harris, lead singer of the Trumpelettes of Detroit (sometime in the week of December 16, 2013)

— Betty Chiapetta, president of Vee Jay Records (December 19, 2013).
