“Take Me Away”
Kezaiyah (2013)
Maryland’s Kezaiyah (pron. kez-eye-ah) is parlaying her experience as a praise and worship leader at Jesus House, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, in Silver Springs, into a solo career.
Her pleasant and tuneful debut single, “Take Me Away,” reminds listeners that when life pushes them to the brink, God helps them soar above their problems.  In parallel with the lyrics, the song builds in intensity until the instruments back off and Kezaiyah and her background vocalists harmonize to the percussion.  Energizing.
