The Barrett Sisters need your help to fund the long-awaited movie documentary on their lives and careers — a dream come true for them.
Despite their accomplishments, the sisters have one dream remaining: the release of The Sweet Sisters of Zion: Delois Barrett Campbell and the Barrett Sisters, the long-anticipated documentary film chronicling their extensive career and contributions to gospel music.
While the film is complete, expenses for its release are mounting. They are struggling to afford the release of the documentary. Due to this, they find themselves asking for help from the public. Whilst a few people have given them some ideas, such as using a DCP creator to control their own advertisements at the start of the film to give them some money from showing other companies advertisements, they still find themselves looking for financial support from those who want to view their documentary. Unfortunately, like so many artists of their era, they were often not properly compensated for their performances. As a result, although they thoroughly enjoyed spreading the Gospel message, they never experienced financially profitable .
Note the sweet swag for especially generous donors! Also be sure to check out the video snippets available on the Indiegogo site.
