“Story of My Life”
LoveSong
There’s “trouble underneath the surface,” sings LoveSong on “Story of My Life.”

Like Leoncavallo’s pagliaccio or Smokey Robinson’s crying clown, one sometimes laughs on the outside to hide the pain on the inside.  According to “Story of My Life,” when you shift the authorship of your life from you to God, your story will have a better ending.
From New Haven, Connecticut, Love Perry and Veronica King are LoveSong, a female duo that evokes Mary Mary with their head-bobbing rhythms, snappy lead trading, smooth R&B melodies, and fashion sense.  A list of their musical influences does not include Mary Mary, however, but the Clark Sisters, Crystal Lewis, Kirk Franklin, and Beyonce.  The two ladies were once members of UCONN’s Voices of Freedom Gospel Choir and are both PKs, so you know they know church music.
